"Connect with Roots, Shape the Future"
We are losing the prosperity that once made our communities healthy, independent, and meaningful, as well as what made India genuinely whole and rich, at a time when convenience, speed, and uniformity are being sought after.
The whole country is at a turning point right now. Its youth have lost their traditions, lost their sense of purpose, are moving in quest of employment, and have started to view material luxuries as the ultimate objective of life. We've lost sight of our own abilities and become engrossed in modernity, forgetting that the wisdom, education, and customs passed down from our forefathers are not only applicable today but also timeless. Nature and our health are being destroyed by us.
Fertility is declining on our farms. The quality of our food has declined.
However, we think there is another path forward—one that brings back the knowledge of our forefathers, equips our people with essential skills and education, and restores the honor of our historical knowledge and Gurukul educational system.
Our goal with this project is to restore the Gurukul educational system and life skills.
Our past, culture, and traditions include a wealth of knowledge that is distinct and bountiful in all respects. Life skills, natural farming, handloom weaving, indigenous food systems, Ayurveda, artisan crafts, philosophy, the sciences, warfare arts, and more are all abundant in our heritage.
Together, let's rebuild our generation, our entire country, our heritage, and create a bright future.
Let's create a new generation and carry on the tradition.
Our
Story
🌱 From a Village Idea to a Statewide Initiative
A vision to provide education, empowerment, and opportunity to the most marginalized areas of Uttar Pradesh began to take root in the modest village of Kaserua Kala, Prayagraj, in 1988. Sardar Patel Shikshan Sansthan (SPSS) was born out of that vision.
SPSS started out as a modest project to educate kids in rural areas, founded by a group of committed educators and social reformers. However, it quickly became apparent that rural communities needed more: traditional skills were disappearing, women were not financially independent, youth were leaving their roots, and health awareness was low.
📈 Our Developmental Path
began with a single nearby school.
expanded to more than 35 districts in Uttar Pradesh.
Through initiatives like VSSY, ODOP, and Magh Mela, thousands of rural women, youth, and artisans were connected.
empowered 1200 farmers, more than 20,000 women, and hundreds of young people-led food and craft businesses.
What started out as a grassroots movement has evolved into a forum for holistic development, rural entrepreneurship, self-reliance, and cultural revival.
What Motivates Us
Education as a starting point for transformation
Developing skills as a way to achieve dignity
Sustainability and cultural values as beacons
Our work is grounded in Indian traditions and aims to create a confident future, whether it is educating farmers on how to preserve indigenous seeds, educating women in herbal food businesses, or assisting young people in navigating startup ecosystems.
"We think that when local communities drive their own change, real development occurs."
Our
Vision
To use the values of traditional knowledge in India's education, agriculture, food, craft, and health sectors to empower rural communities through inclusive transformation through skill development, education, and self-reliance. These values are essential and useful for having a positive development impact.
We envision a different future in which the wisdom of our forefathers is not only conserved but also integrated into customs and lifestyles that establish sustainability, well-being, and prosperity as universal, everyday realities. We strive for the holistic development of the individual—spiritually, socially, physically, and economically—as well as the environment in which he lives or works.
By striking a balance between tradition and modernity, we hope to promote such a harmonious existence and improve everyone's quality of life in rural India.
Mission
Our goal is to restore India's traditional knowledge, cultural wisdom, and self-sufficient lifestyles in order to spark a rural revolution. Through skill development, heritage-based education, and livelihood opportunities based on our tried-and-true methods in food, crafts, health, and agriculture, we are dedicated to empowering rural communities.
We aim to:
For sustainable, respectable livelihoods, revive India's traditional knowledge and incorporate it into contemporary rural life.
Give women and young people transformative skills that combine innovation and tradition to encourage independence and entrepreneurship.
Encourage organic farming, indigenous food systems, and holistic health practices to restore pride in our heritage.
Establish model villages that are environmentally conscious, culturally rich, and economically empowered.
You can bridge the gap between rural potential and national progress by providing local farmers, healers, and craftspeople with access to global prospects.
Work together with communities, institutions, and governments to advance inclusive development in order to scale effect across regions.
Our

This initiative aims to restore soil fertility, food security, and sustainability by using Panchagavya, cow-based farming, indigenous seeds, and chemical-free methods.
Let your food be your medication:
To promote health through the use of local superfoods (such amla, moringa, and turmeric), seasonal diets, fermented foods, sattvic cuisine, and traditional culinary techniques like Ayurvedic cooking.
Reviving character-based learning and Gurukul-style:
Instruction by teaching with Indian morals and ethos would allow the integration of Indian cultural values, spiritual teachings, and life skills into the educational process.
Environmental Protection and Awareness:
To promote and implement programs related to afforestation, organic waste management, green technology, and ecologically responsible rural life.
Preserving National Unity and Cultural Heritage:
Through folklore, rural arts, regional festivals, and customary fairs like the Magh Mela, India's rich cultural legacy is preserved and promoted.
